The boat trips were originally scheduled as a Holiday in July event. Beginning in 2007 we will coordinate programs around National Marina Day activities.

| 2007 - Marina Day & Boat Trip |
| The 2007 boat trip event at Habourtowne Marina in Dania Beach, benefited.over 50 children from Kids in Distress and area organ transplant families. Volunteers from the Broward County Transplant Support Group and the Transplant Foundation (Miami) worked with local fire and emergency preparedness agencies, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary units and the Habourtowne Marina to prepare the event.. Instruction on boating safety and stewardship of the inter coastal was presented by local U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary units. Additional displays and interactive demonstrations about the local waterway were presented by the International Game Fishing Association, the Florida Clean Water program. and the U.S. Coast Guard. The boat trip was combined with other Marina Day festivities held at Harbortowne Marina. Entertainment was provided by volunteers from International Magicians and local clowns. |

| 2005 - Boat Trip |
| The 2005 boat trip and Holiday in July event benefited.children from Kids in Distress and area transplant families. Volunteers from the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary taught the young boater's safety and teamwork before a two hour boat trip on the intercoastal waterway --- some on 'speed' boats, some caught fish. . After the trip, lunch was served --- then games and prize drawings.
